ORF milled receiver

I found the ORF milled FAL receiver on GunBroker for a decent price. I was curious if any of you thought this might be a good replacement for the CAI receiver. Thanks for the info.

Only if you are trying to turn a problematic rifle into a totally non-functioning wall hanger.

Milled? O yeah, right, sure it is.

I hate to say this and steer anyone, but my BIL built one up and it shoots perfectly. I don't know how much work it took, though. Sorry.

I see that you are new and this is your first post, so I would not tackle either one, if I were you, on an initial build. If the Century is already running, leave it be. If you're starting a new build, go with something else. Don't go super cheap.

Keep in mind ORF is no longer in business.

Do yourself a favor and get a Coonan receiver. That way, if you run into a problem, the company is still there to help you out. (Bites tongue on comments about all the help Todd was to people with problems with his products-- not . . . )

Thanks for the info and a good laugh! I wouldnt be building it myself since my go-to tool is a dremel and thats just not healthy for a firearm. I may just save the money and put it towards another non CAI rifle in the future.
