I was looking for a nice suppressor host for a short range hunting rifle. The Glenfield Model A Ruger American gen 1 clone came in around $380. Stock was horrible, but the gun was super accurate for what it is. I put on a Magpul stock and way too much scope on it...but it's what I had on hand. If you need something that is a straight wall cartridge, short range hunter, it's a good deal. This is a ramped up .38 style cartridge so my expectations were low for overall range. Ultra quiet with subsonic ammo. With my RS9, it was quieter than a .22 short. Great pest control device and could take a deer during the right hunting season.

Nothing wrong with the old 35 Remmy, it has put a whole bunch of deer on the ground here in the northeast woods. Still does, for that matter. Lots of Marlins in 35 Rem around here. I figure my 350 is pretty much the same thing in an AR package. There's not many long shots in this area so almost all hunting is done at close range, most of it under 100 yards (despite what folks say the range was.) Makes holdovers pretty easy too.
