[Flypaper]

I found this LIDAR website.
Not sure if anybody has seen these types of photos, but it’s really neat for finding old structures and mounds that have been hidden for years.
Here’s some pictures from around the country.

I always thought that this stuff was amazing. Seeing things that may not be easily seen even if you’re standing right on top of it.

Hyperspectral imaging combined with millimeter wave radar is even more impressive. Takes government level assets to render, sadly.

I would bet some are old forts, perhaps various burial grounds and possibly ancient native American or early American settlements. Ohio is covered with old native American encampment. Pretty cool images

LIDAR has shown us that most of Central America and Brazil were once just one massive urban sprawl, like USA is now. All that jungle is regrowth.

I wish there were lidar images where I live. Lots of indian mounds and caves and things here, but for some reason, there still isn't anything available other than google earth, and it just shows an ocean of trees. No lidar.
