Anyone have experience with replacing the firing pin and or thumbpiece?

I don't need to, but I'd like to harvest the thumbpiece and firing pin from a breach block to make one useable spare. Been pounding away with a punch on the broken one and the donor. Neither is budging, even with heat/quench. Is there an easier way?

Next step is someone with a press.
